Experience the Maxtrek Fortis T5

The Maxtrek Fortis T5 is a High-Performance summer tyre designed for luxury vehicles. Its unique asymmetrical tread pattern design and open block pattern make for a quiet and comfortable ride. A mix of white carbon and high content natural rubber make up the tyre's tread compound. This compound, combined with the small grooves on the tread pattern softens the tread blocks to increase the tyre's contact patch for a stable drive. Its tread design and tyre compound improves the tyre's skid resistance capabilities too, along with its rugged shoulder pattern and enhanced internal structure. It is also more affordably priced than other high-performance luxury vehicle tyres in the same category.

I have been experiencing that the tyres develop a flat spot when standing for 3 or more days. The bumpy ride seem to go away when they heat cycle from driving.

I was surprised how good these tyres are for the price. I put four on my Jeep Grand Cherokee and I can't fault them. Don't know yet how well they wear, but so far I'd definitely buy them again.

Previously had kumhos which lasted for years. Decided to go down the cheaper option and regret it. I have a grand cherokee and these tyres are noisey as hell, almost like a rhythmic drone. Next time I'll get kumhos.. don't know how they are for wear as yet

The tyres were fitted at Ultra Tune Bibra Lake. They were fitted incorrectly and without regard to the condition of the rims. As a result, the next morning I got in my car and drove it not realising they were flat, rolled them off the rim, damaging the tyres and my Enkei 20

Only had these tyres on for a couple weeks now, but so far they feel good. I have noticed an increase in fuel economy, gaining about 50km's to 100km's more out of a tank of fuel. Haven't tested much traction yet, but feels good. Slightly more noise with these tyres, but not enough to be an issue.

Why This Tyre?

What's the Pros And Cons?

Maxtrek Fortis T5 UTQG 300 A A

Compare and Rate Your Tyre on its Treadwear, Traction, and Temperature

tyre-size

300 A A

•  300 Treadwear:
This grade represents the tyre's expected life/duration, ranging between 100 to 1000. Usually, the higher the treadwear rating, the longer the tyre life.

•  A Traction:
This grade represents the tyre's capability to stop on wet asphalt and pavement. Ratings are expressed in letter form, with AA being the highest and C as the lowest.

•  A Temperature:
This grade represents the tyre's heat resistance ability, with A as the highest and C as the lowest. Heat build-up causes the rubber to break down faster, which can cause blowouts. The higher the temperature rating, the longer the tyre life and the higher the speed rating.

The Maxtrek Fortis T5 is an Asymmetrical Tyre

tyre-size

Asymmetrical tread patterns combine different tread types to deliver maximum wet and dry road grip via its inner and middle tread, while outside, larger and rigid tread blocks dominate the design to improve cornering.

To avoid fitting mistakes, asymmetrical tyres are labelled "outside" and "inside only" so you know if they will face your vehicle or out.
